The access2democracy non-profit NGO operates as an international civil society organization and a research centre. Its main mission is the study and analysis of e-democracy issues and the involvement of the citizens in this field.

Access2democracy aims to promote the principles and practice of participatory e-democracy within the global arena.

Our vision:

• Create a democratic global society with open, transparent and secure multi-way channels of communication among all citizens and social actors.
• Create a society which recognizes and respects as a fundamental right, the unhindered access of its citizens to informed deliberation and decision-making processes.
• Create a society which ensures and safeguards that the means for access are provided and distributed equally across all sectors of society and to all citizens, irrespective of their sex, race, class, creed, religion, ethnicity and origin.

Access2democracy seeks to establish strong links and a long-term cooperation between civil society, governmental authorities, academic community and the private sector in the promotion of e-democracy principles. A2d provides α research and dialogue platform for citizens participation and governance issues. To achieve better governance tand representation, dialogue and communication need to be enhanced between citizens and decision makers.

Its autonomous involvement in the public dialogue and its effective contribution in the information and the study of e-democracy issues and the establishment of related policies are based on independence and dialogue principles.
